Where Does Beauty Come From?

Chianti Region in Italy

Can science know beauty? Science cannot logically explain beauty as a body of knowledge. Beauty can’t be dissected, tested, or measured.  Yet, we know beauty when we perceive it— beauty exists without a doubt.
We know beauty without being taught. Babies can discriminate between a beautiful, symmetrical face and an ugly one before they can even talk. No two sunsets are the same, yet we recognize the beauty in a sunset even when seen for the first time.

How do we know beauty without science explaining it to us, without our parents teaching us? Beauty is a reflection of what’s on the inside. As a subjective experience, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. For example, good people see good in others. Hateful people see hatefulness in others. When we recognize beauty, isn’t it because there is beauty within us?

Some people without looks can have great talent minus the looks.
Society seems to not accept ugliness. This is wrong. People seems to discriminate and many people without vanity do not get fair treatment. This is wrong too.
